What is Refero

Refero is a design research layer for AI products: curated visual styles, real product screens, and user flows from top web and mobile products. Each reference includes structured metadata your product can use before generating UI. If your product generates or assists with UI, Refero gives it real-world references to learn from. Instead of producing generic layouts, your AI studies what Stripe, Linear, Notion, and thousands of other products actually ship — and uses that to make better design decisions.

• Semantic search — search by visual direction, page type, UX pattern, industry, company, component, state, or plain language.
• MCP protocol — integrates via Model Context Protocol, the open standard for connecting AI to external data. Tools cover styles, screens, screenshot images, similar screens, and flows.
• Volume pricing — limits scaled to your product’s usage. Weekly updates with new screens and flows.
